WIAW- Christmas Edition

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Hope you all are having a fantastic week!

(I REALLY got the Christmas cheer going on after my giant cuppa coffee this mornin’)

Anywayyy, another WIAW here:

As usual hosted by Jenn at Peas and Crayons.

I actually did a fantastic job of eating healthy the whole week before Christmas…. The weekend and Christmas Eve/day is a whole other story, but whatevs.

Healthy eats this week:

Look at all those veggies! *pats self on back*

Lots o’ two ingredient pancakes.

Even gettin’ festive with ‘em.

If you look through my pictures, it looks like I ate healthy the whole week, because I stopped taking food pictures once the good stuff started coming out. Cupcakes? Cookies? Alllll shoved in my mouth before I even thought to take pictures. I’m sure you all have good food overload this week anyway!

I’ll do a full Christmas recap tomorrow if I get a chance, or later in the week, but basically it was a lot of snuggling:

(It’s amazing how perfectly my sister and I fit on a recliner made for one person..)

This lil lump:

I thought it was the funniest thing EVER to take some of his kibbles and create a little path with them (Hansel and Gretel breadcrumb style) and watch him follow the path:

Not sure why, but that made me laugh SO hard. I think it reminded me of that scene in Monsters INC where they make a path of cheerios for Boo to follow.

Besides snuggling, eating, and making fun of my dog there was a lot of gift giving and receiving! Again, I’ll do a full recap later, but can you guess what I got in my stocking?

(It’s makeup. Who likes guessing anyway?)

Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas this year!

  1. You look gorgeous! Great job on the veggies & getting in some healthy eats before Christmas. I’d probably be the same w/the sweets… inhale them before I could photograph them. LOL ;)

  2. I make a 2 ingredient pancake TOO!!! Mine includes eggs and butternut squash (or pumpkin if you’re feeling lazy and not in the mood to peel, chop and ROAST the damn butternut squash!) – so freaking delicious and EASY!

  3. Looks like it was a fabulous day! Good for you eating so healthy the week before Christmas. The cupcakes/desserts are one of the best parts of the holiday so I’m glad you were able to enjoy them :)

  4. bahaha i can so relate to the non-existant dessert pictures. Most of mine are taken of a different cookie/bar after I ate one… what do ya do? :) Glad you’re having a good holiday!

  5. Hahah I love making dog food trails for my puppy, too! I also like to play “hockey” with her where I scoot a kibble toward her and she has to block it so I don’t get a “goal”. I’m a five year old at heart, plus it’s just hilarious! :-)

    • I seriously laughed harder at that than I’ve laughed in years. Lmao, it wasn’t even that funny, but I was literally crying from laughing so hard. & I knoooooww I just stuff the indulgences right into my face. No time for pictures. Must consume quickly.

    ps – You look gorgeous!!!
