Rule Breaker

Well I missed Thankful Thursday @ Jessie Loves to Run again, but I don’t play by the rules (such a rebel) so I’m linking up today!

And being a further rule breaker, I’m saying I’m thankful for this survey by Abby @ Abby Eats Almonds that I’m going to fill out!

The Lovely 14 Survey- Things I Love

1) Valentine’s Candy I Love:

Oh, I’m going to HAVE to agree with Abby on this one and say Reese’s hearts haaands down! Or just Reese’s anything… Although regular chocolates are always lovely too :) . In fact I just got some in the mail from my family:

Which I promptly shoved in my pie hole (what- there were only three pieces, it was a mini one.)

2) Current Workout Jam I Love:

Oh this is a toughie. I’ve been loving K-pop (“I Am the Best” by 2ne1 and “Sexy Love” by T-ara are my faves), which is totally embarrassing.. I also have been loving “Lovesick” by Emily Osment, also embarrassingly pop-y, and On to the Next One by Jay-Z. An oldie but a goodie! ….Man I’m all over the place with my workout music….

3) Article of Clothing I Love:

MY NEW DRESS I BOUGHT FOR MY BIRTHDAY. I’m not going to post a ton of pics just yet but here’s a sneak peak:

4) Something Red I Love:

This little heart bowl

and candles (ok there’s some pink and white ones too) that my family  (love you guys!)
just sent me in a little Valentine’s Day care package

Which of course, I promptly lit while eating my chocolate.

It was a romantic moment.. by myself.

5) Month I Love:

October and November. I LOVE Fall. I really really really wish it was that weather year round. Crisp and cool, but not freezing and dreary. Love it.

6) Piece of Advice I Love:

This is about to be really embarrassing, but I read this book when I was little about a time traveling cat (I feel like that alone says something about my personality) and in it the cat told this little boy to “just lick one paw at a time”. Which just meant do one thing at a time and stop trying to tackle everything at once…. I read that book when I was like 10 and I still chant that to myself sometimes..

7) New (or old!) Blog I Love:.

Oh dear LORD this is hard! There’s about a million that I’m absolutely in love with. I know I’ll forget approx. 80 of my favorite blogs so I’m not even going to attempt this one!

8) Current Reading Material I Love:

Ahg, minus this awful history textbook I haven’t really been reading lately! I miss it :( . I think the last book I read was Terra (written by Gretchen @ Honey I Shrunk the Gretchen, who is one cool chick!)

9) A Memory I Love:

Ah! Again, this is hard!

I had a ton of great memories when I visited the bf over break

and this summer when I went to California with my fam.

Actually a memory I love is when I was little my grandparents would babysit me and we would play “electric company” where I would run around the house turning off all the lights saying “the power is out” and we “need to call the electric company” and my grandparents would pretend to call them. Hahaha.

10) “Chick Flick” I Love:

I’m not really a fan of chick flicks usually (don’t hurt me, but the Notebook was so boring..), but I seriously LOVE Leap Year. It’s not even a good movie. I just can’t help myself!

11) A Special Place in the World I Love:

Speaking of Leap Year… Ireland! I loved that place when I visited summer between my Freshman and Sophomore year of college. Seriously the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to. I also really love California.. Disney Land! (why yes I am 4 years old).

Of course home is the most special place to me in the world :) .

12) Beauty Product I Love:

Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland eye shadow palate. I know it’s old and I probably shouldn’t use makeup that long (hello germs), but I am IN LOVE with it.

13) Nifty Website I Love:

I meeeean… wordpress? Oh and bloglovin to keep track of my bloggies. And maybe tumblr… I may or may not spend hours a day on that site…

14) A Beautiful Blog Post I Love:

I really love all of Abby’s blog posts. I relate a ton and she’s constantly reminding everyone to be positive and things like that, which I totally need to hear! I also really like Danielle’s post yesterday. All about what is “beauty” and to stop getting down on yourself. Awesome advice.

    • Thank you!! I’ll definitely take a million and one pictures, don’t worry. (It’s my 21st birthday AND my golden birthday… this will possible be the most documented birthday of my life haha)

  1. That dress is absolutely gorgeous! That’s an awesome purchase, for sure. :) And I love the “lick one paw at a time” advice – it’s so true, and the fact that it makes me think of an adorable, fluffy kitten is a huge bonus.

Good luck with all the homework – I know it’s exhausting (and, at times, soul-crushing), but hang in there!

  2. Ahhhh I LOVE Leap Year too! Seriously, not a good movie at all but i love the main characters and anything irish so it’s perfect! And haven’t you heard? Rules were made to be broken ;)

  3. ““just lick one paw at a time”. For some reason, this totally brightens my day! I keep picturing a frantic little kitten trying to lick all four paws at the same time, but sorta falling onto his back and rolling around :D

Jay-Z is the best. End of story.

  4. Gahhh!! Day. Made. :) Sometimes I get annoyed when blends constantly say this but why do we not live closer? I loved all your responses- everyone needs to have a little romantic moment with themselves sometimes.. you know… totally normal.. haha :) That dress is gorgeous girl. Can’t wait to hear all about your birthday! Only a few more days and you’re smooth sailing :)

  5. What a cute post. Don’t be embarrassed by your love of pop music. I do too, and it’s ok to admit that. I stand by you. Although when it comes to the Notebook, you are on your own. That scene when he’s in the water, all wet and dripping more than makes the movie (that was The Notebook, right?). Reese PB cups were always my favorite, especially the eggs, the Christmas trees and the hearts because they have even more PB in them. Yum.

  6. Well this was a cute post! I can’t get over how you went to Ireland. Seriously, I was just talking to a girlfriend about Ireland yesterday.. how I keep googling photos and want to plan a vacation there within the next two years.

  7. First off,I am in LOVE with your dress. You fashionista, you! Happy Birthday!

As for chick flicks, I have to agree with you. However, in order to really appreciate them, you have to accept them for the sub-genre of sci-fi that they are (none of those things could really happen) and proceed to lap it up. Side note: Amy Adams is fantastic!

  8. That bday dress is gorgeous!!!

If you haven’t heard “This Kiss” by Carly Rae Jepsen, that is a GOOD workout song that I seriously can’t stop listening to lately!
